The Great Escape

Something quirky, something fun, something zany gorgeous!

I am a Still Life painter with a little landscape thrown in.  My new paintings include a series centered on vintage fish tank ornaments such as mermaids, castles and ceramic sea life in unlikely gatherings and strange combinations.  Others have little treasures, favorite natural objects, and prized heirlooms placed in curious juxtapositions; all with cloud filled tropical backgrounds.  These bizarre personal icons are symbolic of me or cherished childhood memories.  I paint a subtle, slightly humorous view of the world through the filter of my own experiences with a touch of surrealism.  I focus on symmetry, simplicity, and beauty.  My hope is to make beautiful paintings, which will be treasured and saved.
