en el moment - in the momento

This series celebrates the experience and enjoyment of the "moment."  Contrasting surfaces stimulate the eye and focus the interchange of black and white.  By my intuitive design of rhythmic atmospheres, the exploratory moment fluctuates within shape spontaneity and reaching points of simplicity.  These atmospheres capture the investigation of movement, flying, floating and the illusion of space and visual sounds.  I enjoy the moments of pushing the paint into peculiar organic shapes, drawing and leaving traces of motion made by my body.  The shapes defy specificity but do reference nature's organic creatures.  My motivation to draw and paint is influenced by music, the indigenous modes of expression, and the carefree approach of child mark-making.
